Future of Crowdsourcing

Much of Dustin's research has been focused on the future of crowdsourcing as it relates to government and private industry. Dustin and Daniel Charboneau patented the first crowd-as-a-service business process that demonstrated individual nodes (people) could be used within multiple phases of an innovation process.

Looking to the future,  much of Dustin's research has been centered on the future of crowdsourcing. In 2013, Dustin presented joint-research at a Government Technology conference of the first predictable and repeatable crowdsourcing framework composed of key elements: problem identification, solution identification, microtasking, funding, implementation and validation. This crowdsouced business framework can be used in any industry and can be leveraged in both open and closed innovation systems.
