Dustin Haisler is the President of e.Republic, working with Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, academia, gov tech startups, and non-profits across the globe on technology commercialization, innovation, and next-generation citizen engagement strategies. With a passion for identifying, researching, and implementing new technologies to prepare for the future, Haisler oversees the company’s Marketing, Design, Product Development, Community Development, Ventures, and Innovation teams—guiding all marketing activities and strategy related to e.Republic's products, services and future direction.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude from LeTourneau University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and has partnered with universities around the globe on advancing emerging technology uses, including Stanford’s Persuasive Technology Lab, MIT’s Community Development Practice, the University of Trento, Italy and Renmin University in Beijing, China, where he received a continuing education certificate for his smart cities research.

Haisler previously served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and later assistant city manager for Manor, Texas (a city outside Austin), where he quickly built a track record and reputation as an early innovator in civic tech. A member of Code for America’s original steering committee, he pioneered government use of commercial technologies which had never before been used in the public sector, including Quick-Response (QR) barcodes, crowdsourcing, and gamification. In 2010 Haisler launched the internationally recognized Manor Labs program—the first website to solicit crowdsourced feedback and ideas from residents, which were presented to city officials for review and possible implementation. This new template for e-government was recognized by the Obama Administration and has since been leveraged by government agencies around the globe.

Before joining e.Republic, Haisler worked as Director of Government Innovation and ultimately Product Strategy for Spigit—a company that makes crowd-sourcing and innovation management software that exited to Mindjet in 2013. In that capacity, he helped design and deploy innovation programs for New York City; Bogota, Columbia; and even part of the space program through NASA’s Langley Research Center.

Named to Government Technology’s “Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers” in 2009, his work has been featured in Wired, Fast Company, the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Inc. Magazine, and the Today Show on NBC. An in-demand speaker, he has given two TEDx speeches – Disrupting Government (TEDxAustin) and Disrupting Education (TEDxLivermore). Haisler has since addressed audiences around the world virtually and in-person, including the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. He received the 2015 Public Sector Innovation Award from the American Society for Public Administration and was named a 2021 Business Transformation 150 honoree.

Haisler also serves as an Eisenhower Fellow (2019 Zhi-Xing Program) and Program Faculty for the Certified Public Management Program (CPM) at Texas State University.
